Have brought my girlfriends Ford Escape in here several times and it's now the ONLY place we'll go to. She's had a number of issues show up (brakes, check engine light, etc.) as her car has gotten older and every time we come in Keith takes exceptional care of us.

Founder
Born and raised in Sonoma County, Rick was just 23 years old when he turned Forestville's first fire department building into his auto repair shop. This was in 1978 and it has been in operation ever since. Rick's Complete Automotive is a true Family Owned and Operated Auto Repair Business located in Forestville, California.
Rick has always insisted on the "Honest Approach" and that is what he has given his customers throughout the years. Customers know they can trust Rick to repair ONLY what is needed on their vehicles. Loyal customers have come from all over Northern California to bring their auto repair needs to Rick's Complete Automotive in Forestville from all the way north of Fort Ross, CA to the South Bay Area.

Managing Owner
Keith, Rick's youngest son, now controls the everyday business operations after obtaining his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with emphasis in High Technology Management and Operations Management from California State University San Marcos (CSUSM). Keith has many years of automobile experience from helping his father at the shop since he was 5 years old. He also has an automotive education with ASE certification.
Keith is who you will see in the shop on a day-to-day basis along with his sidekick, our shop dog Sparky.

Case Study: The 15-Point Inspection Pays Off
One Saturday morning, David brought his Toyota Corolla to the shop for an oil change. Pretty basic stuff. He grabbed a coffee and waited in the lobby.
After changing the oil and filters, the mechanic did a standard 15-point inspection and saw that the brake fluid was a little low. So they looked into it a bit more closely.
Our team found a slow leak in the brake line. When asked, David said that he had noticed pushing the brake pedal was a little harder recently. But the warning light didn’t came on, so he didn’t worry too much about it.

We get some variation of this question about 20 times per day! Unfortunately, it’s hard to tell exactly what’s wrong without the proper diagnostic equipment. We’ve got the tools to do it, so bring you car in and we’ll let you know exactly what’s causing your mystery sound.
Does it hurt my car if I drive with the check engine light on?
It is possible, but unless the light is flashing then you’re usually okay for a short distance. It’s more likely that you’ll experience reduced performance. We do recommended that you come see us right away, to see what exactly is wrong before it can do long-term damage.
